An aspect of crowdfunding has been suggested as a way to draw revenue for Dreamwidth, which would also reward bloggers for producing popular content.  I would REALLY like to see this implemented.  Please go vote for this!

Okay, we've done the first two Crowdfunding Creative Jam sessions:

October 17-18 (Monday-Tuesday)
There was 1 open playground, 9 people posting prompts, and at least 8 pieces were created.

November 20-21 (Sunday-Monday)
There were 2 open playgrounds, 6 people posting prompts, and at least 7 pieces were created.

What did you think of the experience overall?

Ideally, I'd like to open this up for other folks to manage sessions in different months.  Please comment if you're interested in doing that.  You don't need to think up themes -- you can pick one from the poll, as there were a number of very popular ones.

Finally, we need to decide about the timing of the sessions, since we tried two different versions.

Previously the idea of a broad-focus creative jam was proposed and then discussed further.  I've posted a poll over on the LiveJournal community Crowdfunding.  I wanted to post a poll here too, but the DW poll engine only allows 10 items and we've got 15 themes.  So hopefully folks here will vote on LJ -- that's where most of the conversation is and many DW members also have LJ accounts.

EDIT 9/28/11: I forgot to put a closing time on this earlier. Votes are winding down; there's only one more today than when I checked yesterday. I'll close the poll tonight and announce answers. If you haven't voted yet, now's the time.

I'm planning on doing a card draw very soon--but before I try to give you some inspiration thereby, I hope you'll give me some advice.

Or at least let me know when you'd like to see the draw happen, and which of my decks you'd like to see.
