First Monday of the month, it's time for the "Hiraeth" updates; so, last month we ran:
part thirty-five, "Max".

There's also a rough draft of a Dramatis Personae, and artwork of our werewolf-walking vampire's business-card...

Thanks to all who've been following along with the erratically-published adventures of a vampire trying to lead a quiet and moral life in this increasingly inconvenient modern world, and remember that the story also has a dedicated DreamWidth comm for your reading convenience!

Hello - I'm Aris/Andy/Dandy. Or Paris. Lots of options there, folks~ Anyway, if not evident by the tags, I'm a writer and have joined this community to offer my creative fiction writing services(in my journal here) and take up the offers of others. I've never done paid commissions before, however, I'm currently looking into being more self-sufficient and I want to raise money for my adult life/college tuition. I'm also low-key offering to write non-fiction, such as articles(gaming, psychology, personality disorders, writing, itself, of course, photoshop, etc.), however, I've had little experience in that area, save for school papers.

I've never even asked for art before, however, I'm looking through the posts here and many of the people have very unique styles. And... I don't want this to run too long, except, if anyone has any input, I'd love to hear it and I hope all of your projects go well.

My fantasy of manners among aliens, Black Blossom, is now up on Kickstarter! The Kickstarter will be funding e-book and print versions; if we go over goal, we'll also arrange for an unabridged audiobook version! Three hours after launch we're already over 1/3rd of the way to our target!

I've been serializing Black Blossom on my blog and livejournal for a year and a half now, and it's been my most successful serial so far. I've run the numbers and Black Blossom made more a month than any other serial I've run to date (and I've run six serials so far!). I probably won't ever be sure why; I suspect its success is a combination of factors including my offering subscriptions for the first time, the story being a sequel to two other stories (The Aphorisms and Admonishments of Kherishdar, respectively), and me offering to post more episodes based on funding levels.

Whatever the case, if you want to read more about the project, you can check its wiki page. And of course, the kickstarter's running and offering fabulous prices, including e-book versions of all three Kherishdar volumes. Check it out, if you're into genteel fantasies with a lot of sociological/linguistic flourishes.
