Hello - I'm Aris/Andy/Dandy. Or Paris. Lots of options there, folks~ Anyway, if not evident by the tags, I'm a writer and have joined this community to offer my creative fiction writing services(in my journal here) and take up the offers of others. I've never done paid commissions before, however, I'm currently looking into being more self-sufficient and I want to raise money for my adult life/college tuition. I'm also low-key offering to write non-fiction, such as articles(gaming, psychology, personality disorders, writing, itself, of course, photoshop, etc.), however, I've had little experience in that area, save for school papers.
I've never even asked for art before, however, I'm looking through the posts here and many of the people have very unique styles. And... I don't want this to run too long, except, if anyone has any input, I'd love to hear it and I hope all of your projects go well.

Welcome!

Your project sounds promising. Samples would help, though. Maybe you could reprint a few of your earlier stories, or ask folks who commission stories from you to let you post them for other folks to read. (Most crowdfunding projects publish the sponsored stuff.)
On the patronage side, just watch the community; lots of us post about our projects when they update. My next Poetry Fishbowl session is tomorrow in my LJ, with a theme of "modern myths." The monthly Crowdfunding Creative Jam, our free-for-all activity, is Sunday 19-Monday 20 with a theme of "preservation/conservation."

Again, samples would help. If you did a handful of short posts for free, you could then ask which ones people would like to see more of. There aren't a lot of nonfiction crowdfunding projects so the competition may be lower. Gaming is a popular topic but already has lots of material. Personality disorders have lower material but the demand is rising. Anyhow, I recommend "The Three Micahs (http://haikujaguar.livejournal.com/tag/three%20jaguars)" as a sample project.
