Three Weeks for Dreamwidth is a celebration of the platform's anniversary, running April 25-May 15. During this time, people post content only visible on Dreamwidth (although it can be reposted elsewhere after the event ends). There's usually a flurry of activity as bloggers share anchor posts, new fiction, icons, banners, questionnaires, friending fests, memes, and other goodies. Community hosts often hold special activities in their communities too. Watch your reading page for more festivities.
Are you posting about crowdfunding? You can crosspost those entries here. Are you doing anything for Three Weeks in your blog or other community? Post a comment about that to attract more readers. Follow the Threeweeks feed. See my 2024 Questionnaire and a list of other thematic questionnaires.

Activities for
crowdfunding
Week 1: Community Questionnaire
Here is a mini-questionnaire that you can use, one day at a time or all at once:
How long have you belonged to this community? What attracted you to it? How often do you participate?
What kind of crowdfunding do you do? Where do you get ideas or market your work?
What do you like best about crowdfunding? Do you feel that it helps you as a creative person, and if so, how?
What are some of your favorite Creative Jam themes? What themes would you like to see in the future? Have you ever hosted a Creative Jam or other event here? If so, what was your favorite theme(s)? If not, what themes might you fantasize about hosting?
Do you typically create fills in the same format or genre, or do you spread them out over different kinds? What will people find in your work?
Do you participate in the Rose and Bay Awards? If so, what are some of your favorite winners? Have you ever hosted a category or otherwise volunteered for this event?
Do you frequent other crowdfunding communities on Dreamwidth or different venues? If so, what are some of your favorites? Where can people find your work?
Week 2: Rec Fest
We make such interesting stuff here! Let's share some favorites. For most fill types, 1-5 recs is a good number. Some types, like icons or songlists, typically have larger numbers, so use your best judgement. Here are some rec prompts that you can use, one day at a time or all at once.
Recommend something from your first Creative Jam or other crowdfunding project, or the earliest one you can find. Include a link to your post if you still have it.
Recommend a Creative Jam fill or other crowdfunding work from last year that gave you a great sense of accomplishment. What made you so proud of it?
Recommend the one fill that you made on a Creative Jam. Did you mean to make more but didn't have time, or was it just not a very inspiring theme for you?
Recommend something where you used multiple prompts in the same fill, or wrote more than one fill for the same prompt. Do you like these approaches? Why or why not?
Recommend something posted here by another member. What are some of your favorites and why?
Recommend a series or collection. It can be from one Creative Jam or other crowdfunding event, or from a set of different events. How do you feel about related works?
Recommend something from a small project that doesn't get much attention. This can be by you or someone else. Is this something you regularly follow, or just a fluke?
Other Ideas
Recommend this community on your blog or in another community.
Use the Bingo Card Generator to make a prompt of the day during Three Weeks for Dreamwidth. Create a fill and post it only to Dreamwidth (at least during this event).
Browse the posts in
crowdfunding and comment on them. Let people know that you liked their posts.
Pick a topic in crowdfunding and post about it, such as where to find patrons or projects.
Volunteer to host a Creative Jam or help with the Rose and Bay Awards next January.
