Automatic pay per minute?

I just had an idea! Does 'crowdfunding' have to require a computer? What about a 900 number?
This might work for someone who has good sound recordings of their stories being read aloud. You might post segments at a 900 number, which anyone can call from any phone -- and you get a dime per minute (or some other amount you set) for however long they listen.
Charge is painless for the reader: it's just added to their phone bill.
