I tried crowdfunding for the first time this year. I conducted three Icon Days this 2013, inspired by [livejournal.com profile] djinni: Icon Day 01 (http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://itsamellama.dreamwidth.org/25226.html) in January, Icon Day 02 (http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://itsamellama.dreamwidth.org/36024.html) in the summer, and Icon Day 03 (http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://itsamellama.dreamwidth.org/47516.html) in October. All in all, I made 56 icons and 1 ACEO :)

Thank you for thinking of me. I wound up taking the story stuff down until I could get it more thoroughly proof read, and because I realized I needed to start it earlier in the timeline of events than I did, so I don't know if that counts?

Well, in 2013 I started doing writeathons for pay; before that, I'd done a couple very informally, but had never planned anything more. But when housing fell through and my brain fled screaming into the night, it was sink or swim, so I started paddling.

I ended up doing four writeathons, which in total made up thirty-two stories, 26 prompters, 18 sponsors, and over $800 in profits.

I'm pretty proud of that! :D

Yeah. I'm just starting to realize that. It's so bizarre, because I did everything WRONG. I had only a few fans, no real Internet fame, no beta reader--hell, I couldn't even impress my English teachers as a kid! I don't know how it happened, I just hope I can keep it going with my next writeathon, which I open Feb. 1st. (http://baaing-tree.livejournal.com/553614.html)
