The next round of Poetry for the Masses! will be starting Monday, August 20th, and will run through Friday, August 24th.

Theme suggestions so far include:

"-erapunk" (cyberpunk, steampunk, bronzepunk, etc...)
art imitates life, and visa versa
exploration and discovery
multicultural influences
eras and views on art history

Any of these catch your eye? Any other specifically you want to see?

I'll be setting a goal for this round. $50. Which is entirely doable and reasonable, I think. If I can manage to raise $50 on this round of Poetry for the Masses!, you guys will get a special bonus Poetry for the Masses.

All monies will go into my Professional Conference/Development fund. You might remember from two years ago, where I was frantically writing poetry and selling off my books to raise money to attend a conference in Minneapolis/St. Paul? Well, this year the conference is in Pasadena, CA. &there's another conference I'll be expected to attend in New Orleans also. Both of which are expensive, factoring in travel, lodging, food, and other expenses. While I might be able to get some money from work, I am fully expecting I'll be contributing the majority of the costs. So. Any monies raised in the Poetry for the Masses! projects, will be going towards professional development/conference funds. Thank you.

There will be price perks and tip bonuses for all who throw a few dollars into the pot. The poetry starts on Monday, August 20, please do let me know what theme(s) you might be interested in, and any prompts you may have.
