It's important to note that IndieGoGo's interface is nowhere near as polished as Kickstarter's. It's easier to use KS.

They may simply appeal to different people. I've heard similar complaints about Kickstarter being hard to use. I think we're still so early that not all the good ways have been found yet.

It may be so. From a user perspective though, Kickstarter works a lot more like a program you'd run on your computer. IndieGoGo is more like... a website from the 90s. It is missing a lot of functionality that drove me crazy not to have when I switched to it.
