The February theme was "wild animals." Many prompts arrived early, with a few more trickling in later in the day. It was a lively month for prompts, with 22 people posting them. There were 59 comments. I worked from 12:15 PM to 12:30 AM, so about 10 hours 15 minutes, allowing for lunch and supper breaks.
I wrote 17 poems, plus one more several days later. Most of the poems were medium-long or long, with a few medium-short, and one each of short and epic. They were all free-verse, except for the extra. While some evolved from a single prompt, several stacked a lot of prompts together.
There were two new prompters:
alicephilippa and Angel (by way of
wyld_dandelyon). You have them to thank for the second freebie poem. Special thanks to
my_partner_doug for managing the donation ticker. Special thanks to
minor_architect for managing the linkback poem "Grit and Grace." You can also see the donor poll and the general poll following that poem to suggest what will happen next.
Donations were exceptionally generous this month -- the fishbowl sold out for the second time. Woohoo! We met the $150 goal and the $250 goal for free serial poems, so you got to pick two of those, which I'll post shortly. We met the $200 goal for a bonus fishbowl, which will happen on Tuesday, February 21. Voting is still open for which series to feature.
