Patron Check-in: Donations and Desires
Jan. 10th, 2012 01:10 pmCrowdfunding Patrons: What are some of your recent donations? What projects have you supported by boosting the signal or other methods? What kind of material would you like to see that isn't appearing or is very scarce?

I try to remember plugging things on Twitter when they start, or at least retweeting when someone else does so, and know I've done that for the Poetry Fishbowl and Giraffe Call. And Sketch Fest, of course. XD
Trying to think of something I might like to see more of... More ideas to throw out there than something I'm yearning for: Non-fiction? Tutorials regarding crafts, or cooking, or coding...
I also wonder if something like "If I receive a tip for this photo, I'll make it available under a creative-commons: attribution license for everyone" would find interest.

I find that extra useful, because I don't have a Twitter account, so I rely on fan tweets to access that audience. If you haven't already found it, there's a #poetryfishbowl hashtag.

I can write nonfiction, and I'm excellent at how-to! Crafts and cooking are things I do. I used to post a fair number of original recipes, but not as often now that I have fewer people to cook for. But if I ever have more group-cooking opportunities, I'd like to try crowdfunding recipes, and I'd be open to cooking instructions.

I have an intermittent photography project, mostly running during the warm season when my yard is in bloom. I take pictures, post some samples, and people can sponsor more for $.50/picture. But I didn't think of releasing the sponsored images on a CC license! Hm, I may have to try that. I have sold a few pictures that way, though.
