Update
A credit system has been implemented.
ysabetwordsmith has been having great fun with it and yesterday received a selection of stories based on prompts that she gave me. I'm also enjoying it because it means I have more reader participation, so if you'd like to get involved then I'd love to have you. :)
ysabetwordsmith also sponsored a couple of the stories she prompted in the Donor House collection. John Good Road is a Lakota vampire she named and this is the first story I wrote about him. With her credits she also bought abother four stories, the last one of which will be sent next Friday. Echoes of Alexandria is a bookshop she named and this is the first part of the first story I wrote for this setting. Anyone who wishes to can name a character or a setting in one of my collections (one of each can be named once every six months at the moment) if they have enough credits.
Continuations are also being written for Surprise Story Week stories. They should be up by tomorrow.
Then I have some plans in place for the next couple of months. On the 1st of November I am starting my character and collection spotlights - questions and prompts are both welcome. On the 15th of November choose-your-own ebooks and handwritten stories will become available (and I wish that I had space to set up my printer). On the 1st of December I will be starting to post an advent story - 1000 words will be posted every day until the 25th of December and then during that time everyone who comments will be entered into a draw to win all 25,000 words in ebook form.
Prompts
From tomorrow I will be asking for prompts on four main themes: Halloween; Samhain; festivals of lights (Diwali); and Fireworks Night. I will stay open until I'm either not receiving any more prompts or I can't write any more. Money raised during this session will go towards Christmas presents and if I make it to £60 then I'll be buying myself a paid account on Dreamwidth so I can post polls. Perks during this session include extra stories, ebooks and entry into draws for every promptor and donor.
