Welcome to the Crowdfunding community here on Dreamwidth! Some of you may be familiar with the original LiveJournal community while others may be entirely new. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
Introductions:
New members are encouraged to post an introduction describing who you are and what you do. This helps folks get to know each other and maybe make some useful contacts.
Interactions:
The "metaphor" of a blog determines its flavor and parameters. Imagine this community as a street fair. There are booths of arts and crafts, author tables, plenty of music, an open mike, all kinds of fun stuff. Crowds of interesting people are wandering around, and some of them have money to spend. So this is a public place, with a particular purpose, and everyone should behave accordingly.

- Please respect each other's opinions, as taste in cultural materials varies widely.
- If you don't like something, skip it and go find something you do like; don't pester the provider or the audience.
- Don't act like a jerk; this is not an appropriate place for flames or trolls.
- If you hurt someone's feelings, apologize and try to fix it.
- If a conversation gets too aggressive for your comfort, it's okay to ask people to cool it or carry on the debate in private.
- Leaven criticism with praise.
- Speak the truth gently if possible, firmly if necessary.
- Have fun!
