Where do sketches go? What happens to them?

Tuesday, August 9 marks the beginning of my "Where Sketches Go?" project, kind of like ysabetwordsmith's Poetry Fishbowl, but with drawings!

I have books of sketches that I don't quite know what to do with.

Sketching, as those who are artists know, is good practice and a good way to increase drawing abilities. However, I have lots of sketches with no real plan to turn them into finished work.

That is where I am asking for your help.

NOTE (ADDED 08-08-2011): I WILL HAVE TO DELAY THE START OF THIS PROJECT DUE TO MY COMPUTER BEING OUT FOR REPAIRS.

Thanks! I'm rather excited. It's been fun to look at sketches I haven't in a while.

That can be enlightening. haikujaguar does a Sketchbook Retrospective sometimes, and it's fun to see what her past work looks like. She also uses viewer feedback to decide which recent sketches to finish.

I don't have nearly as many sketchbooks and sketches as she does!
