That's a really good resource. Might you be willing to crosspost it here, perhaps in sections, so that it can be added to the "Memories" file?

Thank you! This will be a cool addition to the "Memories."

Hmm ... I liked your angle about serialized novels and ongoing serials; I tend to think of that as a spectrum myself. It would make a good discussion for the LiveJournal Spotlight next week, asking whether people think the two forms are identical, related, or totally different. If you're interested in leading a discussion then, let me know.

Thank you! It took some poking around, but I figured out how to make this work. It should be in the Memories now, both parts.

Yes, please! I have penciled you in for a discussion of "Types of Serialization" for Tuesday, July 19.

As a simple starting point, you might describe ongoing series, serialized novels, and novel series; include a link to your long posts about that; and then ask a question or two like whether people think these are the same or what their favorite example is. It doesn't have to be a huge post, just something to get people talking.

Thanks everso for your help.

You should note your blog feed, too, so people can watch it on LJ: http://farmerofdreams.livejournal.com/

This was a very awesome post. The word series has indeed stopped looking right...
