Kristin Kathryn Rusch takes on the topic, in particular for beginning writers. Her takeaway is that beginning writers may be better advised to self-publish and gives some very good reasons, most of which I haven't heard elsewhere.

I've been reading the entire Business Rusch series for months. It did not start with publishing, but the last 16 weekly posts have been publishing focused.

She has also written The Freelancer's Survival Guide (up on her blog, also available as an ebook and physical book).

And if my brain made better connections, I would have nominated her for an Other Project Rose and Bay Award (and now I think there should possibly be a non-fiction category).

Oh dear. This shows how little I have been able to explore the other categories. FIction has taken up a lot of my time.

I am glad to know that she is up for the award.
