Start up ideas...
Sep. 30th, 2010 02:33 pmHello fellow crowd-funders. I've been on hiatus attempting to finish a manuscript and do some marketing of late. With time to reflect on current situations and to do some research , I find that I have a couple of projects on the burners that would be perfect for serials work and webfiction. In fact, my dear friend
whiskeychick and I have embarked on a steampunk style adventure with Martius Catalyst.
Martius Catalyst has been a joy to work on with my partner and I have every hope for its success. It is still in its infancy as a series. I would very much like input from this community on ways to bring it to readers and how we can make use of it to help offset the costs associated with running and producing it. We certainly have hopes of it being a stepping stone for both of our writing careers.
The project is nearing the end of its first Adventure. Of course there are many more of these to come, but at least you can get a taste of the project, the tone, and hopefully fall a little in love with our characters.
Please have a look at www.martiuscatalyst.com leave comments, feedback, etc. It is free for now, but we do hope that those who enjoy it will donate to help keep it going.
Additionally, as I am about to embark on another project of webfiction, I admit that my partner in creating Martius has been more the administrator of this operation. And with all that we have both had going on, I commend her for all that she has put into the project. However, I am looking for assistance from this community in how to effectively launch such a project and gain readers.
I admit to being quite ineffective with social networking and would welcome any advice in the matter.
Thanks to all willing to assist and to those who check out Martius Catalyst.
