Hello everyone,
Is there anyone on this list who is a Hindu? Or who knows Hindu names and customs? Or knows someone who is/does? My newest novel, 'MacKenna'. is complete except that I need some advice on Hindu names, phrases, and customs. Sad to say, my source here in Tacoma wimped out on me. Anyone?
All my best,
Bob :-{>

I know a few Hindus but don't really follow the logic of the names, a lot of them seem to end in jit or inder and that's as far as I know.

For names, a good online source specializing in Hindu names is:

Lots of extra articles and resources support the main name lists.
For culture, this site contains many articles plus the text of entire books online:

Here's one that breaks down into concepts, practice, lifestyle, and traditions:

I was also fascinated by this map of the languages of India. Wow, I wish there were a website that would do this for the whole world!
