Hey folks--
I've successfully crowdfunded the publication of the first novel in my series. :) Fifty people kicked in on average $50 apiece, for a total of $2500--enough to hire a professional editor, cover artist and typographer. In exchange, they're getting a package of stuff including an autographed copy of the book and the manuscript before it's even sent to the printer.
It Can Be Done. If you have something worth reading, listening to, watching or seeing, get it out there.
and Y--
I haven't forgotten you and the website! I've been kinda horribly busy! :D

I do freelance editing, if you haven't picked an editor yet. Cover art, hrm, I don't think

Oh, good. I've been meaning to ask about that; with more projects cropping up, we could sure use that kind of hub. Let me know when you have time to work on this.

Date: 2010-07-18 02:02 am (UTC)I should be able to work on the website some time in the next two months, possibly once the book's in its final form. I'm on draft 2.3.1 right now. :D
Thanks for the congrats! I want to see every worthy project get its funding, and if anyone has questions on how I did it, I'd love to help.

Okay, great. I'm in my summer busy season of writing, but at the moment I'm in good shape with my deadlines. I finally managed to catch up after the time I lost fleeing the un-air conditioned house earlier. :/ With luck I'll be able to help on the website text and such.
