Nathaniel Hansen's documentary film The Elders has just over a day to raise the rest of the $11,000. It looks like such a worthwhile project, and if you have the money to pledge, it's very easy, particularly if you have an Amazon account. I realise these are tough times for people at the moment, but if you feel like checking out the Kickstarter website by clicking on the widget, you can see more of what Nathaniel has in mind. He's made a number of short portrait documentaries before, but The Elders is a longer film with a number of different older people interviewed about their life experiences and what they've learned. Nathaniel's previous short, Pat, is the best example of what he hopes to create with The Elders. You can see 'Pat' either by going to an earlier post here on crowdfunding - I think I posted it yesterday or the day before - or by following the link at Kickstarter to Vimeo, or by checking the short film on my own journal - I posted it yesterday morning. I've since posted two more of his films, one where he interviews a psychic called Lilah, and another where he profiles a man who became the town crier on Boston Common after becoming unemployed and homeless.
