Sometimes, it is more a matter of having the funds on hand than something being 'special enough' to support.

Most of the time I would like to support everything I see-- but if I haven't the money I can't. I am a big believer in crowdfunding.

If I had the funds, I'd be tossing small amounts towards most projects to encourage the business model, and large amounts to my favorites. Meanwhile, most of my support takes the form of feedback and promotion.
