Hello to all! I came across this community via [livejournal.com profile] ysabetwordsmith's and [livejournal.com profile] haikujaguar's blogs. I love the looks of this place; it's a terrific idea, and will go far towards the promotion of this new wave of cyber-funded creativity that has been deluging the 'Net lately.

A little about yours truly: My name is Amy, and I'm an artist and a writer who is taking my first steps into this exciting world. I'm seeing so many opportunities unfolding before my eyes that I thought I'd never have, after far too long struggling with fruitless attempts at freelancing. I currently work full time at a resort and fill my free time with my creative projects, which is at the moment much easier, as I have about a month off while the resort is closed. Current focus is a web based, soon to be cyber-funded graphic novel I'm calling The Glass Veil, the first several pages of which will be up and ready for viewers as a free teaser, hopefully within the next few days.

I'm going to have to take the time in the near future to look around here, and figure out how to vote and participate. But for now, I have things to get done. Until later, folks!

Welcome!

I look forward to seeing it.

For a good introduction to this community, I recommend:
1) Go to the Profile and read the Memories posts.
2) Look down the Links list on the left margin and visit some of those projects.
3) Look who is posting here and visit some of their blogs.

To nominate projects for the Rose and Bay Awards, visit the landing page and follow its links to the category "nomination open" posts.

Voting for Rose and Bay will commence February 1-28.

Glad I could help.

How is your "Glass Veil" website coming along?

Yay, progress! This will be fun to see.

[livejournal.com profile] karen_wehrstein has been working on colorization for the Rose and Bay Awards graphics, and I'm helping with that, so I know it takes a while to get things just so.
