Perhaps on the edge of proper crowd-funding, but from the profile this seems a fairly open community, so I thought I would put this out there:
In the vein of Radiohead and more recently World of Goo (an indie game dev company that did this a year after their release, to much success), GUD is (at least through the beginning of December) available as PDF for whatever you want to pay (well, a penny or more; no chickens!).

And if you can't spare a few cents but could spare a digg to get the word out, we'd really appreciate it! http://digg.com/arts_culture/magazine_tests_pay_what_you_want_model_ala_Radiohead_WoG
Also note that GUD Magazine pays semi-pro rates up front, but considers that an advance on royalties. So any money in goes towards helping us pay our contribs pro rates "or better"! :)

Yes...

Thanks for sharing!
