Check the Memories for this community; there are several "how to" posts you might find useful.

Nibbles are better than nothing, a sign that your work at least attracted someone's attention. Something to consider, if you could afford it, would be hiring a freelance editor to go over your manuscript. (I think there are several in this community besides myself.) Another possibility would be to post an excerpt on your blog and ask your audience what they think of it -- if it's intriguing enough to keep reading beyond just that sample. The most successful cyberfunded projects are really, really hooky; they grab you after just one or a few installments.
I'm still writing and publishing Fireborn, and getting good comments and have a few sponsors.
I've been trying to write a good blurb for the novel. What do you think of this one?
In a world where humans have been adapted to fit the different ecosystems, Orchid, a windborn girl and her healer mother chance upon a town swimming scared of a secret mage (fireborn). They have to face their own heritage while fighting to identify and protect a vulnerable child. This is complicated because Orchid's mother has not told her own daughter that she is fireborn.

That's good to hear.

It's a good start. I think it could be tighted up a bit ...

I suggest "a secret fireborn mage" or perhaps "a fireborn with the secret of magic."

"mage" is why people are afraid of fireborns, but that word just doesn't exist in this world. I'll have to think about how to make that line more graceful.
Current projects include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Now that I have a licensed MS Office program - get off butt and do Crowdfunded spreadsheet configuration 2. Continue up loading chapters of The Roman View (http://ladyqkat1.wordpress.com/) twice a week - Sundays and Wednesdays 3. Post some sort of writery-type thingee on Make A Wish Upon Tomorrow (http://ladyqkat.wordpress.com/) on Fridays (unless I get waylaid then it will be Saturday) 4. Write/re-write/go bug-nuts over sordak's changes to pre-plot stuff on Genesis Wars or Ashantara Tales 5. Continue gently nagging prodding sordak to finish Roman Revelations and/or write more on Hellride and/or Eternal's Quest 6. Breathe
>>Now that I have a licensed MS Office program - get off butt and do Crowdfunded spreadsheet configuration<<
I am really looking forward to this. It will be a terrific resource. Holler if you need any help from other folks working on various aspects of crowdfunding upgrades.

I suggest "must" in place of "have to."
