Pirate fun.
Aug. 3rd, 2009 09:20 amHi everyone! Just finished part four of my pirate adventure at
avepasifika .
The project is friend-funded rather than crowd-funded. It updates depending on the number of people on livejournal who 'friend' it. All fiction is written in about two hours - pretty much as soon as I notice that the number of friends has been reached.
The story follows a young pirate-wannabe, Boo, as she negotiates the somewhat transient world of Pasifika's flying pirate cities and its rival crews. Boo isn't smart, or attractive, or particularly good at anything-much-at-all, but she has a talent for seeing the potential of others.
lee_pletzers is doing a similar friend-funded project, although he writes horror.
I'm also interested in advertising other crowd funded projects. (I know the audience is small at the moment, but I've not been at it for terribly long!) If you'd like me to link to your project at the end of one of my updates (and you're okay with me making a little banner for it, or have one you're okay with me using) please let me know!

Date: 2009-08-03 03:29 am (UTC)I'd love to have you advertise mine, and the next Poetry Fishbowl is on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Somebody recently asked me for a "landing page" (that won't change like the monthly announcements do) so I'm going to try really hard to fit the creation of that into tomorrow's schedule.
