Micro Award will be open to self-published flash fiction

It's interesting to watch the publishing industry change.  But this bit in particular I think is of interest to people here.

For the Third Annual Micro Award, the stories must be published in 2009 and no more than 1000 words, though submissions don't open until October.  Details are at the Micro Award website:
