Kim's birthday is on Saturday, July 18th. :) We're not doing anything big ... well.. very little at all. (Husband's birthday is the 12th, and he's getting nothing, just like Vash, who's birthday was July 5th.. yes.. everyone in my household is born in July or March. Me and Merle share the same birthdate of March 10th. :D ) In any case, Kim would just love it if she could get some postcards simply telling her Happy Birthday. :) She will be six and going into Kindergarten. Sadly ... Summer birthdays always get the raw end of the deal. :D

You know,
Date: 2009-07-11 02:10 am (UTC)In those days, "shareware" meant something a little different to what it means now - you'd get the full game rather than a trial version, usually on a copied 3.5" floppy disk. The programmer would ask you to copy the game and spread it everywhere, but as the game loaded you'd get a screen asking you to send some money to the creator's P.O. box if you enjoyed the game. Pressieware writers just asked you to send them a present!
(shockingly, Google searches for both "pressieware" and "prezzieware" turn up completely blank. However, I'm sure I've got one or two pressieware games - I didn't dream it, honest!)
