I guess my question is whether they are going to let you link a micropayments account and a macropayments account to the same bank account. They didn't used to let you have two accounts linked out to the same place, and it has been a great annoyance to me, though I haven't revisited that in a few years.
It looks like they are catering to people who sell a narrow range of items, either quite cheap (microfunding) or more expensive (macrofunding). If your business crosses that threshold at all often, you just have to pick one. They don't make it convenient to use both simultaneously to get a better deal depending on the cost of a particularly item.
Oh, I'm sure with some technical jiggerypokery one could redirect the payment to macro@domain.com or micro@domain.com depending on whether the cost of the item is twelve dollars or more. Obviously PayPal doesn't want you to do this (or they'd make it easier, or automatic), but it'd be quite a simple matter of if($amount<=12){$recipient="micro@domain.com"}else{$recipient="macro@domain.com"}
I might code up a little something that webmasters can put in their sites, to do this for them.
PS: Hello everyone! I'll introduce myself later on. :)
