Buttons and banners

Cyberfunded Creativity Buttons and banners free for the taking. Layered tiffs are linked as well, and any modifications anyone might wish to make are fine with me. Anyone with with color / background / etc button requests... yell.

The process here: Nab some painted backgrounds from me own stuff, text, sizing, layers... font... done.

EDIT: Of note, my hosting company for wetdryvac.net doesn't allow for hotlinking (you can't just link an image from wetdryvac.net to your site) so you'll need to right click an image you like, choose save as, upload it to where you want, and link from there.

This a nifty starting batch.

I think my favorite is the small "Support Cyberfunded Creativity" white on green button (third from bottom). It would be useful for me to have something like that in white on blue and/or to have one stacked vertically:

I tried getting the small green button to post in my LJ and it wouldn't appear, though. *sigh* I'll poke at it again later.

To display one of the images, you'll need to right-click, save as, and upload to where you want to display it from. Otherwise the image tries to use the bandwidth of wetdryvac.net and my hosting company doesn't allow for that. (which is good, because then I'd go through my bandwidth cap)

That's the approach I took. The image just didn't appear in LJ when I tried to insert it there.

Huh. If you walk me through the insertion process you used, I might be able to help. Easiest would probably be - if you have an LJ paid account - saving, loading to pics.livejournal.com, verifying it, and then loading it that way. Otherwise, you're stuck hoping your hosting service doesn't mind hot-linking. There are a number that don't mind, but I don't remember 'em off the top of my head.

I was trying to do it with the "add image" function in Semagic.

Your code seems to work, though; I got a banner into a post this morning.

I have a paid account, but haven't done much with the LJ picture file. I may try experimenting with that at some point too.

2. I thought these were set up to be links? Or is this just the artwork, and if it is to function as a link to somewhere, we need to somehow put the code in?

If so, what code is needed?

3. Is it possible to have a button like this that links to Elizabeth's definition/discussion of Cyberfunded Creativity? It would be cool to alternate the two.

Nope, just the artwork itself, which needs to be downloaded to the local machine (saved) and uploaded to a host that allows for hotlinking. After a bit of checking around, it looks like http://imageshack.us/ allows for that. You can then use HTML to load 'em to your own pages.

I agree that linking to a definition/discussion of CFC would be useful, either with a "What is cyberfunded creativity?" button or just the plain "cyberfunded creativity" one.

Those are very nice! If you ever revisit them, more crowdfunded/crowdfunded creativity/crowdfunded project ones would be great, since all of the big ones and all of the green/white and pink/black ones are for cyberfunded creativity. :)
