Tuesday's poetry fishbowl went quite well. I was worried about connection issues, but the net stayed up, if not always at full speed. I started a few minutes past noon and kept going until 1:30 AM, so that's about 11 1/2 hours allowing for breaks. I wrote 20 poems. There were 53 comments including mine, and 15 people sent prompts. Ten of the fishbowl poems are already posted online:
"As Genius Does"
"Birthdust"
"A Day in the Life of Marie Curie"
"Hourglass Figures"
"Laika's Trail"
"Magic Wands and Wrenches"
"Pointing the Way"
"Science Diction"
"Silicon Spindles"
"The Spiral of Life"
There will be one more poem appearing; I need to post a poll for the general donation poem. This month's donors are:
minor_architect,
janetmiles,
haikujaguar,
beetiger,
dianavilliers,
newroticgirl,
browngirl, and
moosl. Thank you all so much for the inspiration and donations. I also tried something, new setting a goal -- $120 for a meat package to go in our new chest freezer -- and that was met with a little extra, making this my most productive month so far. From what I've seen, cyberfunded creativity donors often respond enthusiastically to goals.
