Poetry Fishbowl Report for August 12, 2008

Yesterday's fishbowl ran for the whole day, huzzah! I started around noon and wrapped up at 11PM, with lunch and supper breaks.

I wrote 17 poems. Almost all were medium length; no short ones this time, and only a few that went over 20 lines. Most combined two or three prompts. Most were free verse, though once I opened my file of "repeating & interlocking forms" I wrote several of those. I posted one poem, "The First Science." There were 37 comments on the thread, including mine. 12 people provided prompts.

This month's donor was minorarchitect. There will be a sponsored poem, "Theoretical Progression," and a chance to vote for a general-donation poem. Nothing else so far, though. Total for the August fishbowl as of today is $20.

Also worth noting is that minorarchitect asked a few questions that basically turned into a mini-interview on how I do the fishbowls. That's in the comment chain under her prompt.
