crowdfundingThe first installment of my four-part series "Cyberfunded Creativity" is up at EMG-Zine. "What Is Cyberfunded Creativity?" introduces the history and meaning of the term, along with the advantages and disadvantages of this business model.
EMG-Zine itself practices cyberfunded creativity: like several other webzines, they offer readers the option of sponsoring particular contributors. The magazine then splits donations with the writers and artists who provide the content. An additional perk is that a sponsorship of $10 or more entitles the sponsor to a banner ad in the following month.
