Introduction

Hello! My name is Grace and I am currently a college student majoring in Philosophy/Religion at Lincoln Memorial University.  I am a creative person working on my first novel. I have also written dozens of poems and have posted them on www.allpoetry.com/Enira.  I hope to find people with whom I can network and promote my name out there. I am also searching for a personal mentor who can help me with my writing. I would also love to find an agent to help me get published.  I like to read poetry and fiction mostly.  My favorite author currently is Alice Hoffman. I also like reading and learning about others' philosophies and perspectives on life.  I am currently reading some works of C. S. Lewis (The Screwtape Letters, A Grief Observed, The Great Divorce, etc.) and I find his opinions to be very intersting.  I have found that writing is my calling in life.  Thanks to Meg Cabot (author of The Princess Diaries series) I have been inspired to take on writing as a career. She has proven to me through her works that I can write if I want to as well.

I was referred to this group by the user ysabetwordsmith when asking for a place to publish my stories.  I hope to promote my works through this group and to also learn more about writing and publishing. I really want to get published! ^_^
