movingfinger graciously directed my attention to Basement Full of Books. This is a site where authors and readers can connect directly. As the title suggests, it's a great way for authors to sell off that case of books they've got sitting around. For readers, it's a chance to put a meaningful chunk of money directly into the hands of the creative people who put the sparkle in the world. It's a little more ex post facto than most cyberfunded creativity, but it has many of the same advantages.
