Introduction: Ellen Million

So, ah, hallo!

I'm an artist of various mediums (but ink is my passion), writer of random things (fiction, non-fiction, very rare poetry) and self-labeled shameless capitalist. I have a personal page over here, and I run a rather larger site called (um, not creatively...) Ellen Million Graphics. I have an in-house printing studio, and print a large range of products and merchandise for artists all over the world, mostly in the genre of fantasy and science fiction.

Portrait Adoption is one of my major projects - it's a great way for artists to sell their 'orphaned' art as an exclusive character portrait for someone looking for character work but unwilling to go through the hassle of traditional (and highly risky) single-person commissions. Artists love it because they can draw what they want, and when, and still get paid what they deserve, and clients love it because they can get the art they want by buying already completed work without worrying about an artist running away with their check and deliver nothing. Win, win!

As if that weren't enough to keep me busy, I also run an e-zine and a juried e-gallery, and my husband and I are still building our house. I do not make the majority of my money from artistic endeavors yet - they pay me much more to sit in front of a computer and draft up water treatment plants as a mechanical engineering EIT.
