What are your planned crowdfunding projects for May? What did you accomplish during April?

The May Creative Jam will be Saturday 19-Sunday 20. The theme will be "Sense of Wonder."

Magpie Monday is on the fourteenth of May. That's my first prompt call, and collects prompts for ideas and events. This month's theme is fairy tales, intended to be as open-ended and inviting as possible. Modern interpretation? Sure! Inverting tropes? Bring on the popcorn! What's the core of a fairy tale, no matter what the wrapping concealing it? Let's find out!

Drop by, leave prompts, boost the signal, and everybody wins. New prompters, please let me know, because I offer extra words for your prompt fill. If I get $50 in donations, I'll post “Babysitting Emergency,” a six thousand words story posted in five parts (All at once! Hurrah!) When Tamika falls ill and cannot watch Jaxon, Shiv uses the emergency to (rightfully) call for help.

Feathering the Nest is on the twenty-third of May. This is the second prompt call, which focuses more on the softer, comfort and gentle humor scenes between characters. (The standing theme is “nonsexual intimacy,” in all its variations.) I'm setting the donations goal at $50, just as for the Magpie Monday. I'm looking forward to reaching that donation goal so that I can post “Bottom Rungs.” When Shiv and Jaxon visit the Finn home, they get a chance to see a starting point… One with the potential to help far more than the specific task implies.

if I reach both goals, I'll post another long story on the last day of May, along with the preview for June. (That's three stories of at least five thousand words each, posted in addition to my regular, daily fiction posts. The planned story is “Halley's Reparations,” a four part glimpse into the first successful repair to the damage to the relationship between Shiv and Halley.

April was a mixed success: I hit the goal for the Feathering prompt, but not the one for Magpie Monday. However, readers seemed delighted by the bonus story, so I'm happy!

Patreon: I have a Tarot Musings post to finish that I may crosspost to DW to get more comments. I will certainly do my "Something New" posts, and I'll post at least one more chapter of the non-fiction book I'm writing, whose working title is: A Quirky Writer's Guide to Courting Inspiration and Foiling Writer's Block.

Torn World: May is Sea Monster Month, so there will be a Muse Fusion where I'll be writing (or perhaps doing art) to prompts. Some of those things may preview on my Patreon.

I really like the theme for the Creative Jam, though that will be a crazy weekend, since we'll be working on collecting signatures for our wonderful Democratic United States Senator, Tammy Baldwin, since her term is up. We can't vote for her to unless we get her on the ballot! But I'd love to do some writing to the theme Sense of Wonder too.
