What are your planned crowdfunding projects for October? What did you accomplish during September?

The October Creative Jam will be Saturday 14-Sunday 15.  The theme will be "Moving the Body."

I want to run an Indiegogo campaign to fund writing my novel, but I'm gonna need advice on making a good campaign video. Anyone around here up to that task? PM me so we can talk details and payment :)

(I also need a clean bedroom to film in, but y'all can't help with that XD )

No direct experience, but I have a large section on Crowdfunding including a How To section, and the Websites page includes more how to article links at the bottom.

I've been thinking about ways to make online friendships fulfill the practical role of local friendships. One of those involves using long-distance services for things like moving, cleaning, babysitting, etc. You never know, someone might send you a gift certificate for a maid service.

I am not sure if this counts... but as of this week [i.e tomorrow] I'm starting work on a novel. [yeah, it would have been today...but you know how that works out sometimes.]

Which means, as of the new year, I'll have chapters to go up as a 'leader' and can start crowd funding it...[see previous statement for the reason why I want a few chapters in hand]

I freely admit to being a bit daunted by that... and may just wait until it's complete and put it on amazon. [yeah I know.. not really crowd funding] I also might be just a tad bit too British to be comfortable with the necessary level of self-promotion required to run a crowd-funding campaign. [ok, it makes me cringe inside!]

So.. helpful advice maybe?

That sounds awesome.

Amazon is a very different venue.

You could always hire someone to run the promo for you.
