Date: 2014-04-08 07:04 pm (UTC)By all means, pick a name that works for you. I used "fishbowl" because that's a term I knew from writing exercises at school. I've seen many other colorful names including Poetry for the Masses, Giraffe Call, and Inspiration Birdcage.

We'd love to see you at the Creative Jam! The more, the merrier.

I love that community. I just did a piece for them on time travel in poetry. What's your theme?
>> I'm feeling like, on the one hand, I promised these people words and I've already taken enough time about fulfilling those promises, but on the other hand, if I put off the next prompt session till I'm done with the last one, it's kind of hard to make money off the prompt session, you know? <<
Some aspects to consider:
* You can always talk to your audience about stuff like this, and ask them how they feel.
* Any creative, interactive project tends to be a work-in-progress. You'll make some mistakes, try some things that don't work, and have opportunities for improvement.
* You may want to tweak your wording and only promise to write a certain number of pieces per session, or only guarantee writing a prompt for donors, or some other limitation to avoid bogging down.
* What will help you write more stuff: sticking with the old prompts, or getting new ones? You're generally better off going with whatever actually generates writing.

poetree is the diverse experiences of queer women
