* A periodical format posts small individual works, often related in theme, on a regular basis.
* A sporadical just posts whatever, whenever: more flexible, but harder to build an audience.
Some people are using bingo cards for inspiration, as in
Patreon is a crowdfunding site for ongoing projects, where donors pledge to give a certain amount whenever you post new content.
A project may be posted free for everyone, just collecting random tips. It may be posted only for subscribers, or free to everyone with perks for subscribers. It may have a regular posting schedule with options for extra activity if a donation threshold is met.
You can try pretty much anything in crowdfunding. It's still so new, there's a lot of flexibility. So it's a good idea to consider what you do well, and try to build a project around that.
