[personal profile] kajones_writing has been posting installments of a story that I plotted. We are having a great time with this. It's a magical mystery with mostly anthropomorphic characters. Someone is selling fake charms, and our heroes need to figure out who so they can stop the crime. The first part of the story arc just concluded, so there's a good chunk to read. If you're new to this story, start with Part 1; you can also read about Quiar, a world I designed for [personal profile] kajones_writing.

The World Walkers: Quiar: The Case of the Counterfeit Enchantments (part 5, continued) is the final installment of Section 1. Find out who is behind the fake charms in Sheepshank! I found this to be an exceptionally well-done handling of the difficult literary trick of internal conclusion: it both provided a satisfying resolution to the short arc and set up for the next phase. The Case of the Counterfeit Enchantments: Section 1: Complete summarizes the accomplishments: 13,225 words so far, and the next section will begin on Thursday.

Also, there's an opportunity to get some side stories for "The Case of the Counterfeit Enchantments." Leave your ideas in a comment below that post. The tentative plan is one extra ficlet for every £5 in donations while this storyline is running.

This month's theme was "mature and old adults."  A significant number of the poems had tragic or poignant tones, although others were lighter.  I worked from 11:45 AM to 2:15 AM, so about 12 hours 30 minutes allowing for the usual breaks.  It took a little while for the prompts to start, then they stayed at a steady trickle for a while.  I wrote 18 poems on Tuesday plus another 3 later.

There were several form poems this time.  Most poems had small combinations of prompts, a few singles or stacks.  Size was spread across all categories, though leaning medium to long with a good number of epics.

Activity was okay, with 45 comments on LJ and another 5 on DW.  There were no new prompters, though.

If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, read the list of unsold poems from February. That includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available. The linkback poem "Alien In-Laws" (Starfather) has 9 of 22 verses posted.  You can reveal more by linking to the unsold poetry post, or to your favorite poems from this fishbowl.

The currently sponsored poems have been posted.  I've sent copies of the rest to their respective prompters.  Per the $200 goal, "The Demon in the Clockwork" is your free epic.  Per the $250 goal, that's one tally toward a bonus fishbowl.  Per the $300 goal, there is bonus material for A Conflagration of Dragons.  Read about "The Six Races: An Overview."  General fund polling is done.

I still need to do the donor perk-post.  Donors this month include: [livejournal.com profile] technoshaman, Stephen Laird, [livejournal.com profile] aldersprig, [livejournal.com profile] the_vulture, [livejournal.com profile] janetmiles, Anthony & Shirley Barrette, and [livejournal.com profile] rix_scaedu.  After the fishbowl tally officially closed, I also got donations from [livejournal.com profile] tabard and [livejournal.com profile] moonwolf1988.  Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm!
