Plunge Magazine is Fully Funded
Mar. 4th, 2012 07:13 pmPlunge Magazine is fully funded. With over two days left, the ezine has reached and gone over its $2000 goal.
This is amazing and fantastic. If you gave some money or a signal boost, thank you so much. You made Plunge possible. My thanks cannot possibly cover my gratitude. You are simply that awesome.
If you did not give, but now want to, Kickstarter does not have an upper limit. The campaign closes on Tuesday at 9:30pm CST. You have time. Additional funds at this point will cover Kickstarter and Amazon's cuts of the donations and fund issues 3 and 4.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Plunge Magazine will be a multi-genre ezine devoted to short written works focusing on and/or featuring queer women. The website has more information.
This means that if you, like me, wish there were more scifi/fantasy/old west/mystery/etc/etc stories and poems out there about amazing queer women who do more than be queer, then you now have a source beyond special issues and the anthology shelves. Plunge will publish twice in 2013 and quarterly every year after.
This also means that if you write these stories and poems, you now have another market to try. Initial payments are at token levels, but if the ezine thrives, I hope to move to semi-professional levels.
If you'd like to stay posted as this ezine develops and moves toward its first issue, you can subscribe to the newsletter.
