My friend seticat just posted many useful links in this post for assisting the disaster victims. She also mentioned a new LJ community, help_haiti*, that is garnering assistance via crowdfunding tactics.

Spread the word. Lets mobilize the assistance we can provide.

ETA: From the OP's post - Are you a fic writer and willing to write something for a donation? Here's the place. Do art? Read cards? Something? Here's a place where you can do something hands on and still have the finances go out to those who need it.
