Date: 2013-07-02 04:08 am (UTC)I may also do a writing-based crowdfunding event on the 22nd of July, time TBD, over on my journal. This will be dependent on my energy and creativity levels.

Date: 2013-07-02 06:10 am (UTC)That sounds cool.
>> I may go for something less taroty and more ysabetwordsmith-style fishbowly. (If you don't mind me swiping your shtick, of course, ysabet.) <<
By all means, go ahead. I'm happy to provide inspiration for other people's project. Take whatever you think will work for you, and adapt as needed.
>>I may do both on different weekends. My certainty, let me show you it.<<
It's worth a try.

Date: 2013-07-08 10:27 pm (UTC)I've been writing poetry for decades and running the fishbowl for about five and a half years. The practice has run my skill and speed up a lot higher than average. Even then, I can't always fit everything into one day. This month's poems ran long and the fills sprawled out over several days.
And would you believe I know someone who's even better? Tom Smith does what I do, only live and set to music. I've seen him do it at home filk concerts. I gave him "antidisestablishmentarianism" as a prompt and he filked it on improv.
Some folks who do fishbowls take prompts and start writing the same day, but don't try to restrict it all to that day. They let the fills spin out for a week or more. Feel free to tinker around until you find a crowdfunding approach that works for you.
