These are some new projects that caught my eye:

Wolverine conservation through citizen science

Born in avalanche chutes, wolverines thrive in places few people tread.

Citizen scientists are helping us conduct a noninvasive survey of

wolverines, using hair and cameras to assess how highways affect gene

flow.

What causes nausea and vomiting of pregnancy?

Although nausea and vomiting of pregnancy was documented by Aristotle in

the 4th Century B.C.E. and is believed to have killed acclaimed author

Charlotte Bronte, the cause is unknown, and will be elucidated in this

novel study.

Oh [insert expletive]. I looked up HG, and apparently until about 20 years ago the official word was that it has psychological causes. I HAVE NO WORDS.

Nausea can have physical, psychological, or mixed causes. Even if the cause is only one of those, it's easy for the other to make matters worse. That's part of what makes it so hard to study and treat.

Blaming a sickness on things like hysteria or immature personality, resulting in doctors telling women the problem is mostly in their heads, because another reason was not found yet, sucks.
