Call for prompts for the extra-special Autumn/Halloween edition of Poetry for the Masses is now open! I'll be writing the poems during October 28-29. Any prompts along the themes of autum or Halloween, Harvest, Samhain, All Hallow's/All Saint's Eve, etc, are accepted.
As I write the poems, I'll post a breif summary, and will be accepting 'pay-what-you-will' for publishing. If I get at least three prompters, I'll post one freebie. If I get to $20, I will post an additional freebie.
Also, as an additional bonus! If I make $13, and for every $13 increment after, I'll post a special '13-word horror story' in honor of the upcoming festivities. Additional incentives to come.
Thank you. Please signal boost, and look forward to your prompts!

Date: 2012-10-30 12:04 am (UTC)I'd be interested in seeing something on the theme of autumn as the season of new beginnings -- after 16 years of school starting in September, it's hard to shake that feeling.

Date: 2012-10-30 12:41 am (UTC)Nope!
From your prompt, I've got the poem, 'This is the new year', which combines the idea of autumn as the idea of harvest, and the new year (literally and figuratively).
I'm holding this as a 'pay-what-you will'. It is at 22 lines.

Date: 2012-10-30 12:47 am (UTC)From your prompt 'All Saints Day/Tutti i Santi Ognissnati', I've got the poem 'Tutti i Santi Ognissanti', in which the Chinese find common ground with their Italian allies. I've posted it as the first freebie. This poem also briefly mentions el Dia de los Muertos.

Monsters, Heroes, Dreams and more...
When the veil thins, a message from the past.

Date: 2012-10-30 02:37 am (UTC)From your prompt 'Costumes', I got the poem, 'Understanding'. This poem, too, is set within the Eye of the Oracle (http://thesilentpoet.livejournal.com/354785.html) 'verse, and is a look at the next generation over the course of three years of Halloween costume. This, too, is set after the main story.
For your prompt, "Monsters, Heroes, Dreams, and more..." is a cross-over between 64-squared and Schrodinger's Heroes...
This Poetry for the Masses is a 'pay-what-you will', so.
Re: Prompts
Date: 2012-10-30 02:42 am (UTC)From your prompt Toasting Pumpkin seeds, I got the poem 'Fall Night Perfection.' This poem is a riff on the traditional haiku, following a rhythm of 5-7-7-5 syllables for each line.
This Poetry for the Masses is a pay-what-you-will, so.

Typically, for a 22-line poem, I'd price it at $10. Although, this month, I'm hosting it as a 'pay-what-you-will', so if $10 seems reasonable to you, awesome. If you can't afford 10, but still want to throw in something, albeit a little less, great. A little more? Cool beans.
I host similar calls roughly 1-2x a month. Next one will likely be in mind-November. I hope this will not be your last time being here! Let me know if you have any more questions.
