Several people are on this group asking for help.

Which actually works better to draw in buyers?  Asking for help because of a personal emergency -- or offering goodies to our customers' greedy little hearts?  Or -- the chance to be part of a larger whole?  (Fan syndrome or herd behavior).

I'm going to see how my giveaway works starting at 10:00 am tomorrow and going until March 14.  I'll let you know.

I've seen both approaches work. I think that each one works better for different people, and may attract a different audience. I mostly use donor perks, but the one time I set a specific goal (for a meat package to fill our new freezer) it worked really well.
