Tamati (working name Tunnel Vision) does an abbreviated haka to activate his powers, basically challenging rocks for the right to move them. But he also tends to give his victims (money hungry and unscrupulous land-abusers) warning in the form of hakas outside their offices. Specifically non powered hakas so the cops can't actually arrest him.
I loved your setting's haka-as-power-battle, though. I need to go poking about in SQ-Polynesia to see if there's more soups who dance the haka that way. I want super-hakas to be a thing.
