Magpie Monday for November (SURPRISES!)

The November Magpie Monday is now OPEN! This month's theme is “Surprises!” Fluffy ones, silly ones, happy ones… Insulin-controlling diabetics should check your blood sugar before checking my blog, while diet-controlling diabetics… Black coffee? Plain green tea? Small doses of happyfic should be good, right?
All of my working universes are available, ranging in style and theme from gaslight “Voices of the Engines,” to the alien-world “Storm” series, the “Sunday Afternoon” unique niche… Polychrome Heroics and Frankenstein's Family are, of course, included underysabetwordsmith's permissions, for which I am eternally grateful. (The framework of the landing page will help you sort through the major categories, I hope!)
For those who want more complex fills, I'm doing a LOT of world building as I write each snippet in both “Storm” and “Voices” universes, so those may take longer to arrive in your inboxes. I am NOT giving up on those, even with limited time slots! (Nor Heliodrax, but that needs a little tweaking to become a viable shared universe, I think… maybe something to opposethem, rather than totally open-ended storytelling. Ponder. Ponder…)
Clearly, it's time to put my brain to work on something creative, and fun, or it's going to wander off on its own (again).
