Special Friday the 13th Tag Team One Card Draw!

In honor of Friday the 13th, miintikwa, shatterpath, and I are holding a special tag team one card draw between 1400-1830 EST in our respective journals, as follows ::

• 1400-1530 EST :: Get a reading from miintikwa in her journal [DW & LJ]
  
• 1530-1700 EST :: Get a reading from shatterpath in her journal [DW & LJ]
  
• 1700-1830 EST :: Get a reading from ariestess in her journal [DW & LJ]

If you make a request in a journal after its time period is over, you will be directed to the next reader. As the last reader, ariestess will work with any last minute people trying to get a reading.

There are crowdfunding opportunities and the option for leaving a donation/tip if you so choose. Each post will have any pertinent information along those lines.

Tomorrow opens my January Giraffe Call, with a theme of In the City

In anticipation, I have posted my current incentives and questions about changing them up.

I have also posted some poll questions from last month's incentives and for this month's (long fiction piece, setting-information piece, and linkback incentive).

New Crowdfunding Project: "A Road Paved in Iron"

Check out "A Road Paved in Iron" on Kickstarter, described as a voodoo western dime novel.  

I am particularly intrigued by this technique: anyone who gets 10 folks to pledge $25 or more gets their own reward upgraded to the next level.  That's one to keep in mind for your own campaigns, tweaking numbers as needed based on whatever your goals are.

Free Sketch Day prompts-- Vote for Crowdfunded Piece

As most of you know, I've held weekly Free Sketch Days off and on for the last couple of months. They have done quite well, actually. You guys have some wonderful prompts! I've had to put them on hiatus for the time being due to some very time consuming family issues, but things are starting to even out slightly, so I may be able to resume them next Tuesday.

I'm still sort of learning my way around the crowdfunding business model, and have tried a number of things with varying degrees of success. One thing I had hoped to accomplish with Free Sketch Day is a number of completed, crowdfunded works of art, based on your prompts.

So, today, I'm going to hold a vote at my blog. I'll post links to each sketch compilation post from the first FSD, so you can vote on which one you'd like to see as a crowdfunded piece. Tomorrow, I'll count up the votes. The one with the most votes will be opened up as my next crowdfunding project, a digitally inked and colorized piece of art.

I have opened my Giraffe Call for January a little early (houseguests tomorrow). The theme is "In the City."

My fund-raising goal for this call: cover recent emergency furnace calls. The joys of owning a new-old house! :-)

Prompting is free, but there are incentives for donating, both individual and as a group.
