Earning Perks

A majority of crowdfunded projects include "perks" or incentives that reward participants for doing things the creator finds valuable.  This encourages people do more of that.  Some perks apply to one specific person in recognition of their activity.  Other perks activate when a collective goal is reached, and then become available to a wider group or to the public in general.  Let's take a look at some things which creators choose to reward and encourage.

 Mary Anne Mohanraj has posted a Kickstarter project to fund her new book, Demimonde.  This is a single-author collection of erotic science fiction, featuring mostly characters of color.  If you appreciate chromatic fiction, check it out -- I've met the author and attended some of her panels, she can handle.

Call FOr Prompts: September Edition

Hi there everyone, I'm Charley and I'm one of those silly little writer people. It's...what I do, I write. Sadly though, I don't really write for money. Until now anyway. I'm giving this a go and seeing how it works.

So come and leave me prompts!

I'll take prompts until the end of September and then do this all over again on October 12th (my birthday, amusingly enough) if things go well.

And even if you don't have anything to give, leave a prompt! I love writing off of prompts, as you can probably guess by my journal and how often I ask for them, I just thought I would try things this way instead.
