After years as primarily a donor, I've moved in a new direction in my life that is very compatible with crowdfunding. I have started a divination practice and a blog to go with it!

Today, I have started my very first One Card Draw!

Everyone and anyone is welcome to come and get a free one-card reading from my unique bird oracle deck. Tips are greatly appreciated and there are incentives both for tips and for publicizing. I plan to stay open through tonight and finish up any draws I find in the morning.

Your tips on how I can approve are also gratefully accepted! Thanks and welcome! :)

[personal profile] wrenstarling (jenny_evergreen on LiveJournal) is hosting a One-Card Draw today.  She's working with a bird oracle deck that she created.  Tips are welcome.  There are incentives for comments and donations.

Today I received a note from LiveJournal announcing that they intend to feature [livejournal.com profile] crowdfunding in the LJ Spotlight.  This is exciting news!  I want to start making plans now so that this exposure will be as useful to us, and attractive to visitors, as possible.  Please pitch in to share your ideas and content.

Let's make some plans... )

SQUEE! [livejournal.com profile] meeksp (who is meeks on Dreamwidth) has posted the rough sketch for my poem "Shine On." This is a poem about a paladin meeting a peasant girl; the scene shows Shahana the Paladin holding a fallen star. I love the contrast of light and shadow, and check out the tiny rays of starlight fanning upwards.

View the sketch on LiveJournal or on Dreamwidth, and comment where you prefer. Feedback is welcome, and if enough people comment, this sketch will get another round of work done on it. Comments to the artist also put you into a draw for a free icon. Donations can also activate more work on a sketch, and help support the artist. (Look at the cute white hat -- with ears! -- in the tip button.) Linkbacks are another way to show your support: there's a monthly contest where the sketch with the most linkbacks will get worked on more.

In related news, I have written three more poems in the "Path of the Paladins" series, based on prompts from my donors. They are currently voting on which one to show you. (The extras will get listed on the serial poetry page, and become available for sponsorship.) The new poem will probably appear Wednesday evening.

This is a followup to my post about [livejournal.com profile] crowdfunding being featured in LJ Spotlight starting July 18.  It gives us a place to keep track of the activities planned for each day.  If you want to take part in this weeklong party, please speak up.  The more shiny crowdfunding content, the better!
